INTENSIVE TRAINING PROGRAM
Harbour Dance Centre is Vancouver’s leading multi-disciplinary dance institution, recognized for excellence in dance education. Since 2007, our Intensive Training Program has been dedicated to equipping aspiring professionals with the skills, discipline, and industry knowledge needed to reach their highest potential. Our focus is on serious dancers committed to pursuing a career in the performing arts.
The program is directed by Moe Brody, a highly sought-after choreographer for film and television, who brings current, real-world industry experience directly into the training environment. Her ongoing work in the entertainment industry ensures that students receive not only exceptional technical instruction but also relevant, up-to-date insights into the professional world they are entering.
ITP offers 25+ hours per week of comprehensive training in dance, acting, mental skills, conditioning, performance, and related studies. In addition to technical training, students benefit from seminars covering essential industry topics such as nutrition, injury prevention, audition preparation, navigating talent agencies, securing U.S. work visas, working with the Union of BC Performers, personal branding, video creation, and hearing directly from dancers currently on tour.
Admission is by audition only. Applicants must be at least 17 years old, have completed high school, and demonstrate an intermediate or higher level in both contemporary jazz and ballet.
